The 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors have been around for almost 15 years
with very little turnover in membership! If longevity counts for
anything, then we've succeeded in every way except commercially! But
who needs money anyway?
We're an Asian American comedy troupe, but we're NOT just for Asians!
Hell the Asian Pacific rim is so hot nowadays (like nuclear hot!) that
we appeal to everyone. Asian and Asian American culture nowadays is
hip and cool like Chow Yun Fat!
Some sketches we've done in the past include:
* A John Woo Family Dinner (featuring a 1001 bullets)
* The Chinese Women's Swim Team (featuring steroid enhanced beauties)
* World Cup 2002 (a virtual love fest between soccer rivals Japan and Korea)
We've also poked fun at universal topics like:
* Illegal Immigrants (Native Americans deal with a sudden illegal
influx of disease-ridden, crime-prone pilgrims.)
* Shakespeare (does anybody REALLY understand Shakespeare..or do we
just PRETEND we do?)
Okay, we won't be doing any of the above sketches, but we wil be doing
sketches VERY MUCH like them!
We've been referred to as "smart" and "irreverent." We've been
referred to as everything except "rich."
When you see an 18mmw show, expect to see "Comedy at the Speed of
Laugh!" Why, just look at the awards and the quotes!
